building-unityBELOIT, WI - On February 25, 2023, Building Unity Wisconsin, Wisconsin Voices, the NAACP, the Rock Co. Progressives, and various other organizations (full listing here) will sponsor a WI Supreme Court Candidate Forum if they are able to confirm both candidates' participation. If they are unable to confirm both candidates' participation, a Community Forum will be held with experts, activists, and leaders from around the state. Though a number of issues may be addressed, this forum will be sure to touch on environmental and immigration issues as these are this week’s justice focus of the Tour.

This Saturday’s Forum will start at 1:00 P.M. and will be hosted by New Zion Baptist Church - 1905 Mound Ave. - Beloit, WI. It can be attended in person or virtually.

Forum will also be live streamed to Building Unity’s Facebook Page

The public is invited and we hope to see you there.

This event is part of Building Unity’s over 1000-mile journey to raise awareness, excitement, and participation in the Wisconsin State Supreme Court elections. With the Feb. 21 primary behind us, our focus remains the same - to turn out the vote and increase voter awareness about why this Wisconsin Supreme Court Race is so critical. The Tour is led around Wisconsin by the “VoteMobile” (see link to photos below) which is adorned with hand-painted signs and banners and always advertising the next forum and the coming election dates.

While we have invited both of the remaining WI Supreme Court Candidates, so far only one has replied that they will participate. Without both candidates, we can’t have a “Candidate Forum”

Building Unity is a multi-group project that is working to build a multi-issue movement for peace, justice, sustainability and democracy. We must address the social, political, ecological and economical emergencies that we are all facing as human beings and citizens of Earth. We are building a movement that will leave nobody out.
