GREEN BAY, WI - Local physician and Democratic Candidate for the 88th Assembly District Dr. Kristin Lyerly released the following statement Monday on the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling upholding the Governor's mask order.

“It is past time that the Republican-led Legislature and Representative John Macco recognize the severity of this surging pandemic and convene to offer necessary measures to strengthen Wisconsin’s pandemic response. They have refused to pass meaningful legislation for the last 180 Days while the coronavirus rages on. Their failure has caused our overflowing hospitals, personal suffering and shuddered schools. The economic devastation that our Legislature feared is here, and its severity has grown due to their refusal to take this pandemic seriously.

This will continue through the winter if our government leaders continue to refuse to show up for work.”
