WASHINGTON, D.C. - Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are poised to approve two articles of impeachment Friday that charge President Trump with high crimes and misdemeanors, setting up a historic House vote next week that all but guarantees Trump will be just the third president to be impeached in U.S. history.

Democrats approved the first article on abuse of power in a party-line vote, with all 23 Democrats present voting in favor and the committee's 17 Republicans voting against it.
