Students Impacted by SNAP Cuts
MADISON, Wis. — TODAY the Eau Claire College Democrats, who have been collecting food to donate in response to SNAP cuts beginning, will be dropping off food at their Campus Pantry to help feed students who might be losing their food security. Due to the GOP-led shutdown, 700,000 Wisconsinites who rely on FoodShare are now scrambling to figure out how they can feed themselves and their families since funding has run out.
