musk-no-prob-2025Could Musk's $10 million investment into Wisconsin’s Supreme Court election have anything to do with his company, Tesla, suing Wisconsin over a decision preventing it from opening dealerships?

LAKE GENEVA, WI - Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and a close adviser to President Trump, has injected over $10 million into Wisconsin’s Supreme Court election, supporting Republican-backed candidate Brad Schimel.

Musk’s involvement is alarming, as the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decisions on issues like abortion rights, union organizing, voting regulations, and legislative district boundaries profoundly affect residents.

brad-schimelCritics argue Musk’s financial support for Schimel isn’t just ideological but also self-serving. Tesla, Musk’s company, is suing Wisconsin over a decision preventing it from opening dealerships—a case that could reach the state Supreme Court. If Schimel, bolstered by Musk’s funds, is elected, it raises serious conflict of interest concerns.

laura-kiefert-2018Moreover, a Musk-funded group has deployed deceptive advertising tactics in this election. These misleading ads, targeting Democratic-backed candidate Susan Crawford, raise ethical questions about the undue influence of wealthy individuals in judicial elections.

Musk’s actions have escalated the stakes, making this the most expensive judicial contest in U.S. history. His financial power threatens the integrity of our judicial system, undermining public trust in our courts.
