maya-gb-karvanaLaunches Coalition of Over 100 Wisconsin Small Business Owners Endorsing Harris-Walz.

Green Bay - Vice President Kamala Harris’ sister, Maya Harris, visited several small businesses today with local community leaders – officially launching a coalition of over 100 small business owners from across Wisconsin endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz.

From Beloit to Appleton, local-owned grocers to BBQ restaurants, Black-owned businesses to Latino-owned businesses, and everything in between, small business owners across the state have come together to endorse Vice President Harris, who has made clear that building up the middle class will be a defining goal of her presidency.

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and the middle class, and they understand that Vice President Harris’ plan to create an Opportunity Economy will support small businesses and invest in entrepreneurs. Her plan for small businesses will expand the startup expense deduction from $5,000 to $50,000, cut unnecessary red tape to make it easier for small businesses to file taxes, and help existing small businesses grow by providing low- and no-interest loans for expansion.

These Wisconsin small businesses also recognize that Donald Trump’s extreme Project 2025 agenda would cut off federal programs that give disaster loans to small businesses, give billionaires massive tax cuts, cut taxes for corporations even as they pull in historic profits, and enact a national Trump Sales Tax that would raise costs on typical Wisconsin middle-class families by nearly $4,000 a year.
