GREEN BAY, WI - Welcome back to another Movement Monday, our weekly update sharing the important work Kristin is doing for the people of northeast Wisconsin.

As a 6th generation Wisconsinite who was born and raised in the district, Kristin understands that there’s more that unites us than divides us. She’s a mom of four sons who is committed to building a brighter tomorrow for future generations, creating an economy that works for everyone, and ensuring that we all have the freedom to make our own personal healthcare decisions.

Here’s the “good trouble” that Dr. Lyerly and her campaign were up to to last week:

Labor Day Celebration

kristin-lyerly-dave-hansen-2024Dr. Lyerly joined members of the Greater Green Bay Labor Council for their annual Labor Day Picnic in Green Bay. Dr. Lyerly believes that every worker should have the ability to earn a living wage and get the benefits they deserve.

Veterans for Kristin

On Wednesday, we launched Veterans for Kristin, a group of Northeast Wisconsin veterans who are backing Dr. Lyerly. These veterans know that Dr. Lyerly will be supporting veterans means more than lip service and photo ops- it means supporting the VA, and increasing access to mental health resources.

Project 2025 Town Hall

Dr. Lyerly joined Congressman Mark Pocan and several local state legislative candidates to discuss the dangers Project 2025 poses to all voters.  Particularly the corrosive effects it would have on the education system writ large, including child care access in rural communities, like parts of the 8th District.

Logging Congress

Dr. Lyerly went to Congress on Friday… Logging Congress! Aaron Burmeister, owner of Burmeister Logging, invited Dr. Lyerly, where she spoke with the workers behind Wisconsin’s second largest industry.

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

Dr. Lyerly enjoyed participating in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist event backing her and Kelly Morrison’s campaigns. ACOG is a professional organization critical to supporting OB-GYN’s at all levels of their careers  at a time when the profession is facing extreme challenges.

Door County Century

Kristin and her partner Craig biked in the Door County Century ride along Door County, stopping for much needed breaks for pie and beer!

Door County Meet and Greet

Dr. Lyerly spent last evening at a full house up in Egg Harbor with Assembly candidate Renee Paplham! Community members asked questions about the defense industry in Northeast Wisconsin, renewable energy, and mental health in our communities, and through conversations like these, it becomes more and more evident that government needs to work together at all levels to be effective. By collaborating with state candidates, Dr. Lyerly’s already off to a great start!
