WASHINGTON - On Monday, U.S. Representative Jim Clyburn will call out President Trump’s assault on our democracy and rally Wisconsinites and voting rights leaders in support of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Democrats up and down the ballot in Milwaukee. Going into the Fourth of July, Rep. Clyburn will underscore how Trump snapped after losing the 2020 election – including Wisconsin – and has grown increasingly unhinged in his pursuit of power. Trump has made the violent January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol a “cornerstone” of his campaign of revenge and retribution for himself, saying he’d be a dictator on “day one” if he is elected, warning of a “bloodbath” if he loses, and promising to pardon and “free” January 6 rioters. WHAT: Rep. Jim Clyburn to host a roundtable discussion on voting and civil rights with faith leaders, voting rights activists, and local elected officials WHO: Rep. Jim Clyburn and local leaders WHEN: Monday, July 1 at 10:30 am CT |
