MADISON, Wis. — Yesterday, California bank owner Eric Hovde doubled down on his position that people in nursing homes shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
Last week, it was revealed that Hovde believes people in nursing homes shouldn’t be allowed to vote because he believes they are “not at the point to vote.” He received criticism from everyone including Wisconsin seniors and caregivers to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for his comments. Then yesterday, in an interview with Meg Ellefson, Hovde restated his position, saying “a large percentage of those people [in nursing homes] are not in the mental capacity to do that.”
Listen to Hovde say yet again he believes people in nursing homes should not vote here. |
