katrina-shankland-2023Stevens Point, WI – Wisconsin Rapids Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 425 and Stevens Point Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 484 are proud to endorse Katrina Shankland for Congress. We stood with her on day one of her candidacy for Congress because she has always stood with us. As Fire Fighter Unions from Central Wisconsin, we have worked closely with Katrina Shankland as a state legislator: she is a champion of public safety and shows up for us time and time again.

Whether it's authoring the state's community paramedic law after riding along with the department and hearing the idea firsthand from a Stevens Point paramedic or spearheading the law that champions more safety protections for first responders on the roadside, Katrina listens to us and delivers results. She has consistently worked across the aisle to support public safety, from supporting our state's new shared revenue law to cosponsoring a law to ensure first responders can receive workers' compensation upon being diagnosed with PTSD.

She has the experience, problem solving skills, and grit to get things done for the people of Central and Western Wisconsin. We have only endorsed Katrina Shankland for Congress in the race for Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District and trust her to continue delivering for us.
