MADISON - Assembly Democratic Leader Peter Barca (D-Kenosha) issued the following statement Thursday on the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation report placing Wisconsin 50th among 50 states in startup activity for the third year in a row:
“I’m calling for a special legislative session to find meaningful solutions to the lack of entrepreneurship in our state. As a WEDC board member, I’m also asking that we address this at our next meeting. New businesses and innovation are crucial to our economy and the future of our state. Our current policies are simply not working.” |
