State Senator Melissa Agard (D-Madison), Senate Democratic Leader, released the following statement:
“Governor Evers’ budget prioritizes attracting and retaining a talented workforce by investing in initiatives that make people want to live, work, play, and start a family in our great state. From increasing wages and affordable housing options to ensuring strong public schools and a fair tax formula for working and middle-class individuals, the Governor’s budget puts working Wisconsinites first. “Legislative Democrats know that to address Wisconsin’s labor shortage and fill vacant positions, we must attract and retain new workers, while supporting initiatives that prepare folks to enter and stay in the workforce.” |
