MADISON - Following the lead of Senator Ron Johnson's decision to gift himself a $10 million self-pay out without documentation, there's no public filings backing up the funding sources of Ron Johnson's first super PAC ad.

"Restoration PAC," an Illinois-based super PAC, has today launched an ad supporting Ron Johnson in Wisconsin despite never filing a Federal Election Commission disclosure form or providing any information on who funds their organization.

The only information Wisconsinites have about this organization is its strict pledge to back candidates who support assassination of foreign leaders, a return to the gold standard, and a complete restructuring of Social Security and Medicare.

"Ron Johnson's top priority is defending billionaires, multimillionaires and big corporations, and now an out-of-state shadow group is returning the favor. This organization has made clear they're only supporting Ron Johnson because he passed their radical litmus test, which includes restructuring Social Security and Medicare and returning to the gold standard," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Melissa Baldauff said Wednesday.

Restoration PAC has bought $245,000 in ad time. The organization was formed in January 2015 and has never disclosed a single contribution or expense to the Federal Election Commission. Filings are periodically required by law.

Senator Johnson has a rocky history on issues of foreign policy after declaring earlier this year he might trust the Ayatollah of Iran more than President Obama.
