Johnson supports trade deals that ship Wisconsin jobs overseas while claiming to be a job creator.

MADISON - After spending a week in Washington, D.C. risking Wisconsin jobs by promoting the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership, Ron Johnson today repeated empty talking points to his supporters at the Republican Party of Wisconsin state Convention.

Johnson's routine claims to create Wisconsin jobs stand in stark contrast to his support for trade deals that serve big corporations and billionaires and ship Wisconsin jobs overseas.

"Ron Johnson will say anything in an attempt to hide his support for job-killing policies and his role as a servant to big corporations, billionaires, and multimillionaires," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Saturday. "He refuses to listen to Wisconsin."

Johnson has called the more than 74,000 Wisconsin jobs lost due to trade deals "creative destruction" and "anecdotal."

Russ Feingold, a champion of Wisconsin's families and middle class, is a strong opponent of trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership that ship even more American jobs overseas.
