MADISON - Washington Republicans are yet again talking about cutting Social Security and Medicare, something that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Leah Vukmir has advocated for months.

The proposed cuts are part of a larger giveaway to Vukmir's corporate special interest backers, as Vukmir wants to cut the programs to pay for the Republican tax law, which sends more than 80 percent of benefits to the richest Americans and large corporations, including Big Pharma, Big Oil, and Wall Street giants.

elderly-crowdLast week, Wisconsin nurses held events across the state to highlight Vukmir's support for cuts to vital health care programs like Medicare and Medicaid, the latter of which covers 3 in 5 Wisconsin nursing home residents.
