MADISON - As kids statewide are gearing up for the new school year, the state legislature’s budget committee right now is considering a proposed increase in public support of $200 per student over the next two years. While that certainly won’t make up for recent cuts, it is critically needed to maintain high quality public education in Wisconsin.
