ALMA, WI - Last week, Grassland Dairy products sent a letter to at least 75 farmers to let them know their contracts with the company would be ending.

According to the letter, the Canadian government has put in place trade regulations aimed at preventing the company’s sale of their products to the Canadian market.

kathleen-vinehoutI encourage farmers affected by the changes at Grassland Dairy Products Inc. to contact me or the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP).

The department’s Farm Center mission is to help farmers in critical situations, like those impacted by the action of Grassland Dairy. They will provide farmers with services, including help to find alternative processors.

Farmers can get in touch with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection Farm Center at 1-800-942-2474.
