univ-student-voteDemocratic Candidates for 90th Assembly District, incumbent Staush Gruszynski and challenger, Kristina Shelton, will face off virtually on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.


GREEN BAY - The League of Women Voters of Greater Green Bay (LWVGGB) is sponsoring/presenting its Candidate Forum for the 90th Assembly District in a total virtual format on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the two democratic primary candidates for the 90th Assembly District participating – incumbent Staush Gruszynski and challenger, Kristina Shelton, a member of the Green Bay Area School District Board.

staush-gruszynskiThe winner of the primary on August 11th will face the republican candidate, Drew Kirsteatter, a political newcomer in the November 3 general election. The Virtual Candidate Forum will take place with each candidate in their own homes in Green Bay with just the candidates, time keeper, and moderator all present through “Go to Meeting “ virtual format.

Viewers will have an opportunity to submit questions during the Go To Meeting Live Forum. All questions must be presented for all the candidates to answer. The Virtual Candidate Forum will also be available for viewing on the League of Women Voters of Greater Green Bay Facebook page and Website.

“The League has moved to Virtual Candidate Forums to protect the community while ensuring the opportunity to participate in the election process,” said Karen Schley the LWVGGB Forum coordinator. This is the second Virtual Candidate Forum organized by the League but this is the first totally virtual Forum. The 30th Senate District forum was held on Monday, July 13, 2020. There are a number of other Virtual Candidate Forums in the works between now and prior to the General Election in November.
