troy-streckenbach-bcSupreme Court ruling is going to cost lives in Green Bay, says State Representative. Troy Streckenbach's quick action to place a temporary Safer at Home order here helps combat the reckless and irresponsible decision by four conservative justices.

MADISON – Representative Staush Gruszynski (D-Green Bay) released the following statement after Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach placed a temporary Safer at Home order for Brown County:

staush-gruszynski“In this time of uncertainty, I thank Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach for his work to immediately put in place a temporary Safer at Home order for our community. The reckless and irresponsible decision of conservative justices on the Wisconsin Supreme Court is going to cost lives in Green Bay. All of the gains that have been made will be lost without action. The state legislature needs to work together in a bipartisan way to come up with safe guidelines to reopen our economy. The only way to do that now is for the county to step in and do the right thing. As a former county supervisor I voted for County Strechenbach's emergency powers, and I am happy he used those powers to safeguard the public with a temporary Brown County Safer at Home order. Let's give businesses the certainty they need so we can do this safely and reopen our economy."
