Features Wisconsinites Reacting to Sen. Johnson’s Disastrous Economic Agenda

MIDDLETON - Today Russ launched a new statewide TV ad, “Agenda.”

The ad features Wisconsinites watching Sen. Johnson in his own words, and they’re not liking what they’re seeing. Seniors see their retirement security threatened, with Sen. Johnson calling Social Security a “Ponzi scheme” and expressing a desire to privatize it. Students see Sen. Johnson disparaging student loans as “free money,” and opposing measures to make higher education more affordable. And workers watch as their jobs disappear at the hands of Sen. Johnson’s support for raw trade deals.

There’s too much at stake to have six more years of Sen. Johnson’s agenda: voting for the interests of powerful corporations and multi-millionaires like himself, while abandoning the people of Wisconsin. This is no surprise. After all, Johnson’s spent his time as a senator protecting a system that props up powerful corporations and billionaires, at the expense of middle class and working families.

Since announcing his candidacy for senate, Russ has listened in every corner of the state. Russ knows that the most important issues in Superior might be different from those in Kenosha, but he’s prepared to fight for all of them. Because Russ’s agenda is 72 items long: Wisconsin’s counties.
