Brown County Human Services Department is in need of increasing its pool of volunteers to serve as neutral panelists during permanency plan reviews of cases in the Child Protection and Juvenile Court Services Units.

These proceedings occur at the Human Services Department, 111 N Jefferson Street, Green Bay on most Tuesday afternoons typically from 1:00 - 4:45 PM if there is a full slate of reviews scheduled. Some Tuesday have fewer or no reviews. Volunteers can select specific Tuesdays of the month to be a regular panelist or go on a list of "as available" panelists.

Panelists will hear presentations by the social worker / case manager and their supervisor, frequently in the presence of the parents or other family members. Panelists may make comments or ask questions but this is not required. Ideal panelists would be active or retired human services professionals or upper level college students going into a human services related field.

A brief orientation is provided. Round trip mileage and parking reimbursement is available upon request with completed forms.
