russ-feingoldAd runs statewide, Calls Out False Koch Smears Highlights Sen. Johnson’s Tragic Failures on Tomah VA

MIDDLETON – Russ for Wisconsin launched a new TV ad today titled “Job Interviews and Stuff.” The 30-second ad runs statewide and calls out Sen. Johnson and his billionaire backers for airing millions of dollars in false television ads on Johnson’s behalf to distract from his own failed record on the Tomah VA.

Using Sen. Johnson’s own words, the ad focuses on his failed record of inaction on the Tomah VA. When Johnson’s office learned of the failures at the Tomah facility, instead of acting, the complaints changed hands from one aide to another. Johnson did nothing but offer excuses, attributing his office's inaction to staff turnover and “job interviews and stuff."

Sen. Johnson has remained silent as the Kochs run television ads Johnson knows to be false on his behalf. To date, the Koch network has spent over $3 million on Sen. Johnson’s behalf for his reelection bid. In June of last year, Russ offered the Badger pledge to Sen. Johnson – an effort to limit dark money outside spending in this campaign. Johnson has yet to offer a response.
