MADISON - In Friday's debate with Mary Burke, Scott Walker repeatedly touted jobs numbers using a statistical measure he once called "unreliable for Wisconsin."

Walker used the unreliable numbers not once, not twice, but over and over again.

Using the jobs statistics Walker once called the "gold standard of jobs measurement" Wisconsin is dead last in Midwest job creation since 2011.

From December of 2010 through December of 2013, the closest we are able to get to Governor Walker’s full term in office, Wisconsin was 34th in the county and dead last among Midwestern states in private sector job creation (BLS, QCEW data, Q4 2010-Q4 2013).

From March of 2011 through March of 2014, the most recent three-year period available, Wisconsin was 35th in the country and dead last among Midwestern states in private sector job creation (BLS, QCEW data, Q1 2011-Q1 2014).

"Tied in the polls, Scott Walker is desperate to spin the "Wisconsin Comeback". So desperate he's resorting to cherry-picking jobs numbers he once dismissed as unreliable," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Friday.
