Friends of the Brown County Library Announce BIG Book Sale PDF Print E-mail

booksGREEN BAY - Offering more than 100,000 books; DVDs, CDs, audio books and more, the BIG Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Brown County Library, is an event not to be missed!  The sale will take place in the lower level of the Brown County Central Library, 515 Pine Street, Downtown Green Bay, November 4-8, 2014. Friends members are invited to attend the special preview sale on Monday.

Sale Hours

Tuesday                               November 4            9 am – 8:45 pm

Wednesday                         November 5            9 am – 8:45 pm

Thursday                             November 6            9 am – 8:45 pm

Friday                                    November 7            9 am – 4:45 pm

Saturday                              November 8            9 am – 12:30 pm

Gently-used donations and library discards are offered at a fraction of their original cost.  A discount coupon, valid Wednesday and Thursday of the sale, is available on the Friends’ web site, www.BigBookSale.org.  Sorted by category, shopping for a favorite interest or title is easier than ever!  This sale is the primary fundraiser for the Friends of the Brown County Library and a book-lover’s dream. Proceeds from the sale support the Brown County Library.

Friends members can shop the Members Only Preview Sale on Monday, November 3, from 4 – 8:00 p.m.  A registration table for new, current or renewing members opens at 3:00 pm near the Pine Street entrance. Membership is $15/year and includes a subscription to Storylines, the Friends’ newsletter, discounts at local bookstores, notice of Library programs and helps support the needs of the Library.  Stop by early to register and be ready to shop when the doors open!

Donations for the sale are accepted year-round at all Brown County Libraries.  Books in high demand include Military History (Civil War, WWI, WWII and the Vietnam War), World and American History, Mysteries, Science Fiction, and Book Club Lit.
